Having grown up in Minneapolis, I appreciate a good snowfall; if it is of the snowed-in variety, so much the better. It doesn’t happen often enough in Pittsburgh, though not everyone would agree with that, and the beautiful part doesn’t last long. Snow alters light and sound, simplifies the elements of a landscape, and then slows us down so we can notice. Photography is a way to applaud the performance.  These images are my winter holiday postcards.
